Lost tooth and other ramblings....

I no sooner spoke about it and it happened... by beloved 5 year old BABY lost her first tooth on the playground yesterday. Her daddy (my hubby - same person for those of you who don't know, LOL) picked her up and she called me SO EXCITED!! She made me write a note to the tooth fairy though - she did NOT want to keep the tooth - "make sure the tooth fairy takes it; it has blood in it and I don't want it!" The tooth fairy came through with a gracious $5 bill ~ why we listened to my brother in law who has no children, everyone else said $2!! ~ and in true 5 year old form she came to show me this morning and said: Look! The tooth fairy left me a dollar!

Is it me, or are 'things happening' to our kiddos earlier and earlier?? I was talking to a friend who has a 12 year old daughter and boy oh boy are girls 'advanced' nowadays. Scarey to think what the next 10 years will bring for me!! I know I'll be keeping the hair color companies in business, that's for sure! That said, my tolerance for late-teen/college girls is running oh so thin.... my next trip to the gym (tomorrow) WILL include earphones if for nothing else to drown out the squealing and giggling (sometimes to eachother, sometimes on their cell phones!) Ack, I AM getting old, eh?

Where oh where .......

Where have I been? I haven't been here (to blog) in so long, I'm almost thinking "why bother?" ...

So much has happened since (ahem) February. We've all had birthdays, 4 year old preschool is over, gymnastics is done for the year, the dog has Lyme disease but is in good shape for THIRTEEN! I've been back at the gym for almost two months and am feeling great! The farmer's market in town is in full swing and we've been enjoying it every Sunday. We're expecting a visit from the tooth fairy any day now, our first visit, she is so excited for that little tooth to fall out, she was telling perfect strangers yesterday. Speaking of perfect strangers, Jon and Kate are splitting up. AM I THE ONLY ONE on the planet who could care LESS that Jon and Kate are splitting???? Stop making money off of your children and MOVE ON ARLEADY!!!!

Oh, and here in the northeast we're still waiting for summer to shine down upon us.

I'll try to be a little better about blogging.... just in case anyone's reading.
