I read somewhere that Forty is the New Twenty. Really?! What better time to start blogging as I will soon approach Forty. How did I get here so fast? And what's next for this Mommy, Wife, Daughter, Sister and Friend?
About Me
I'm Annie, a married, forty-something, working mommy of a beautiful little girl. Trying my best to guide her into becoming a smart, independent and compassionate child, all while managing the household and making the most of my random thoughts during the inevitable down time in the world of working for a high tech company.

- Take my niece J out to dinner
- Go to a play
- Get my own ipod
- Take a yoga class
- Make sushi
- Go to a Red Sox game

- Maintain flower beds
- Fertilize the lawn
- Walk in the mornings when it's not too cold
- Put the house on the market
- Paint living room ceiling
- Take vitamins daily
- Eat more fish
- *DONE* Go to NYC for the day
- Break down and get a cleaning lady
- *DONE* Throw away old vaccum
- Organize photos
- *DONE* Buy a new camera
- Rent beach house for 2010
- Plan something with my mom once a month or more
- Get a family photo done

- Shred documents
- *DONE* Resurrect our Cooking Club
- Visit New Orleans
- Make flan
- *DONE* Go ice skating with my daughter
- Go camping at least once every summer
- Go back to Mexico
- Start planning hubby's 40th party
- Get a massage
- Paint my nails once a week
- Spend more time with my dad
- Learn to crochet
- Paint or draw for pleasure more often
- Blog at least twice a week
- *DONE* Sort and toss my shoes
- *DONE* Purge closet in computer room
- Lose 5 pounds (and keep it off!)
- *DONE* Organize computer room
- Paint upstairs bathroom ceiling
- *DONE* Plan get together with former work gals
- *DONE* Stick to our budget - don't have a choice!
- Bake cookies and muffins from scratch once a month
- Spend more time with my sister and her kiddos
- Get away with hubby at least once a year

I thought the exact same thing last night watching her!!!! I really need someone like her in my life, even for six weeks. If it weren't for $$$$....
On another note, since we're the same age, it's glad to know there's someone else our age who doesn't feel all grown up yet.
